During the pandemic, remote working became normalized and employment laws continued to evolve. All of this has impacted business owners. Companies - even small ones - can therefore benefit from a well-drafted employee handbook. Handbooks can:
- Save management time by conveying company policies to many employees at all once;
- Help employees understand company culture on a wide range of topics, such as remote working rules, time off, and anti-harassment; and
- Be a critical line of defense in discrimination cases.
If you haven't updated your employee handbook in a while, or you never had one, it's probably time to put it on your to-do list.
