As labor and employment practitioners, we walk through research and trends on a condensed work week related to mental health and the growing (and competitive) role of flexibility. Themes of productivity, employee burnout and agile work structures drive the conversation, especially as it relates to the impact on women. How employers approach and manage these situations with employees is important and those efforts tie into culture-building and employee retention/recruitment.
