During the pandemic, technology played an integral role in connecting food and customers safely via delivery, kiosks and contactless service. Online reservation features, online ordering processes, efficient QR codes (ordering, menus and payment) and point-of-sale technology are a few of the leading advancements. These resources also impact the human resource side of the business, which is beneficial as it relates to labor, safety and cost-effectiveness. Internal resources such as kitchen video screens and real-time inventory technology promote accuracy, communication and delivery of excellent service.
