The EEOC Just Released its Discrimination Enforcement and Litigation Statistics for 2020

Employers take note...the EEOC's press release breaks out what types of discrimination were most commonly alleged, with a link to more detailed information by state. Retaliation tops the list, indicating that it is often an employer's actions in response to a discrimination complaint that can create legal issues.

One takeaway: effective HR and management training can tip the scales, and mitigate risk for employers.

The agency responded to over 470,000 calls to its toll-free number and more than 187,000 inquiries in field offices, including 122,775 inquiries through the online intake and appointment scheduling system, reflecting the significant public demand for EEOC’s services.
