Catrina Markwalter

Catrina H. Markwalter is Taylor English’s Mid Florida Market Managing Partner and a partner in the firm’s Construction and Creditors’ Rights Departments.

In her construction practice, Ms. Markwalter represents general contractors and subcontractors in contract negotiations and claims for breach of contract and construction defects in State and Federal Court. In her Creditors’ Rights practice she focuses on secured and unsecured creditors in loan origination, workouts and litigation in State and Federal Court. Ms. Markwalter has represented secured and unsecured creditors on a comprehensive range of matters including bankruptcy proceedings where she has prosecuted and defended claims, motions for relief from automatic stay, motions for adequate protection, objection confirmation and discharge, and opposition to “cramdown” motions. Additionally, she is an experienced SBA litigation attorney whose practice is focused on both 7(a) and CDC/504 SBA loan litigation. The remainder of her practice focuses on general counsel work for her construction and corporate clients.

Prior to Taylor English, Ms. Markwalter practiced with an Am Law 200 law firm in Florida. Ms. Markwalter graduated from the University of Florida with an undergraduate in Environmental Policies and a Master’s in Business Management. She obtained her law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law.
