Bradford R. Czerwonky

Associate

Atlanta, Georgia

Bradford R. Czerwonky channels his extensive product development experience and knowledge of patent law as both an inventor and an attorney into helping inventors and manufacturers capture broad patent rights for their most innovative product ideas. Mr. Czerwonky understands the context in which new designs are created and enjoys tapping into and “translating” the inventor’s underlying design rationale. He especially enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and is conversational in Japanese.

In drafting and prosecuting patent applications for both solo inventors and business clients across multiple industries, Mr. Czerwonky draws on his fifteen years of experience developing new products for a multi-national manufacturer of commercial appliances, including in Japan. He has also prepared airframe repair instructions at one of the world’s largest airlines and has been a “closet” woodworker, artist, and designer since grade school.

Mr. Czerwonky received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with Highest Honors under the Cooperative Plan, and recently received his JD, cum laude, from the Georgia State University College of Law together with an Intellectual Property Law Certificate. At the Georgia State College of Law, Mr. Czerwonky won first place in the International Patent Drafting Competition as part of the College’s inaugural team of three students sent to the Competition, was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, served pro bono institutional clients in the Transactional Assistance and Practice Program (TAPP), was recognized under the Pro Bono & Public Service Recognition Program, and also served in student organization leadership.

Mr. Czerwonky previously served as a local chapter president and national convention co-chair in Pi Tau Sigma (the national mechanical engineering honor society) and as an officer in the local student chapter of ASME, ran as a walk-on member of the Georgia Tech cross-country team, and is an Eagle Scout.

In his spare time, Mr. Czerwonky enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering, woodworking, enjoying the outdoors, and learning just about anything.
