Taylor English Continues Expansion in Miami with the Addition of Corporate Partner Alan David Barson

MIAMI (March 18, 2024) – Taylor English Duma LLP announced today that Alan David Barson has joined the firm’s Corporate Department in Miami, Florida, as a partner.

Barson focuses his practice on areas of corporate and business transactions, entertainment and sports, personal representation, international trade, technology, intellectual property, licensing, and brand management. Throughout his career, Barson has represented a diverse clientele, including public media conglomerates, private companies, senior executives and creative talent across multiple industries such as recorded music and music publishing, film, television, theater, fashion, book publishing, and technology.

Prior to joining Taylor English, Barson held positions with preeminent entertainment and media law firms in New York City, where he represented a spectrum of clients including multiplatinum artists and songwriters, actors, screenwriters, photographers, models and influencers, film studios, major & independent record companies, music publishers, cable networks, and concert promoters. He also served as SVP/Head of Business & Legal Affairs and General Counsel for London/Sire Records Group, then a mini-major label in the Warner Music Group, overseeing an in-house legal department for Sire’s New York, Los Angeles and London based operations in record manufacturing and distribution, and music publishing.

Barson earned his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications.
