MIAMI (January 4, 2024) – Taylor English Duma LLP announced today that Jake Baccari, Florida Bar board-certified specialist in international law, has joined the firm’s Litigation Department in Miami, Fla. as a partner.

Baccari’s practice focuses on litigation, regulatory matters, and multijurisdictional dispute resolution, with a particular concentration on Asia. He has experience conducting investigations and advising clients on corporate affairs and crisis situations. Baccari represents clients in federal and state court proceedings throughout the United States and has represented clients in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. His clients are in a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, banking and finance, energy, hospitality, private equity, and private wealth.

Prior to joining Taylor English, Baccari was a partner in the Miami office of an AmLaw 100 firm. In previous roles, he acted as global coordinating disputes counsel for Japanese clients in the Tokyo office of an international law firm and was registered as a foreign attorney with the Japan Federation of Bar Associations. Additionally, he served as senior group counsel for a multinational financial institution based in Singapore. He was appointed by the Florida Bar to serve on the International Law Certification Committee for a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2021, and he is a member of the of the panel of arbitrators of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association. He earned his JD from the University of Miami School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is admitted in District of Columbia, Florida, and New York.
