Kerry Stumpe Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Kerry Stumpe was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Mr. Stumpe was honored during the Sanctuary’s Silver Jubilee for his significant contributions to the Sanctuary and for his conservation efforts.

Ngamba Island's 25th anniversary raised awareness about the importance of conserving chimpanzees and their natural habitats. The theme for the celebration, “Partnerships for co-existence”, promoted the importance of humans and wildlife living in harmony in shared environments.

World-renowned ethologist, UN peace ambassador, and founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, Dr. Jane Goodall was in attendance and personally presented Mr. Stumpe with the award.
