Taylor English Continues Growth in South Florida with the Addition of Real Estate Partner

Miami, FL (February 9, 2023) – Real Estate partner Edmundo Lacayo has joined the Miami office of Taylor English Duma LLP, firm leaders announced today. He will be based in the tri-county area.

“Edmundo’s extensive experience representing clients in real estate and contract law matters is a great asset to Taylor English and our clients,” Marc Taylor, chair of Taylor English, said. “We work hard at finding high-quality attorneys to help both our clients and firm succeed.”

Mr. Lacayo is a Florida International University graduate and received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. His practice focuses on real estate law, business law, commercial litigation, probate administration, and estate planning. Mr. Lacayo regularly represents owners, lenders, developers, investors, landlords, tenants, and both domestic and international corporate entities.

Before joining Taylor English, Mr. Lacayo was a partner in a full-service South Florida law firm, where he represented multinational enterprises in complex secured transactions involving residential and commercial real estate, as well as small business owners and first-time real estate investors. During his years of practice, Mr. Lacayo has served in the legal department at a Fortune 500 company. In this role, he consulted on numerous legal and regulatory matters, including interacting with various international government bodies and agencies, and drafting complex client, customer, supplier, and service agreements with multinational corporations.

Mr. Lacayo will be joining a team of well-established attorneys in the South Florida area, including South Florida Market Managing Partner, Steven W. Zelkowitz, based in the Miami office. The firm tapped Zelkowitz in May to rapidly expand the office and add more attorneys in the South Florida area to service the firm’s expanding client base.

“We are thrilled to add Edmundo to the Miami office. He is a great fit and adds value in a market where Taylor English is looking to expand,” said Zelkowitz.
