Orlando, FL (July 12, 2022) – Taylor English Duma LLP leaders announced plans to rapidly expand the firm’s presence in the mid-Florida market by increasing the number of attorneys and establishing a new physical office space. The brick-and-mortar office will be the second office space established outside of Atlanta. Catrina Markwalter, a partner at Taylor English, will serve as the Mid-Florida Market Managing Partner.
“At the beginning of the year, the firm made a commitment to begin opening small, boutique offices in markets across the country where we have client needs and opportunities and an existing footprint of lawyers operating remotely,” said Marc Taylor, chair of Taylor English. “Similar to the South Florida market, we believe the mid-Florida market is a great fit for our hybrid model. Catrina Markwalter has been a great asset to the firm since she joined in 2018 and will help grow the depth of our presence in Orlando and beyond.”
Markwalter is a Partner in the Construction and Litigation Departments and sits on the firm’s 12 person executive committee. Her practice covers matters related to construction, business formation, contract negotiations and disputes, business torts and financial disputes.
A strong base of attorneys is already located in mid-Florida, including Brent Bell, Gail Holtzman, Lauren Langham, Rhonda Parish and Harry Teichman. The future office space will be located in Orlando, Florida.
Last month, Taylor English announced an expansion into South Florida with a new office space and plans to add more attorneys. Orlando will be the firm’s third brick-and-mortar space.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue the growth and development in the mid-Florida area,” Markwalter stated. “Since I joined Taylor English, I’ve seen how our built-in flexibility and transparency benefits both our clients and our attorneys. Once the message spreads about the firm’s unique service model, it will be amazing to see what we can accomplish.”
“Between the expansion in mid-Florida and South Florida, the Taylor English brand will become more established throughout the state,” added Taylor. “With the leadership of Catrina in Orlando, and the leadership of Steven Zelkowitz in South Florida, we are well-positioned for success.”
Taylor English will maintain its headquarters in Atlanta. The firm now has attorneys in 13 states across the country.
