What Construction Attys Need To Know About AI

On October 19, 2018, Natalie Mark was quoted in an article by Law360, regarding the use of artificial intelligence and how it can be a time and cost-saving benefit for construction lawyers and their clients. While artificial intelligence can certainly be a benefit, according to Ms. Mark there are risks and factors that come with it and we must pay attention how it is used and not treat AI as the "end-all be-all."

Natalie Mark is a partner in Taylor English's Construction practice group. Ms. Mark's practice focuses on Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), fraud, antitrust, breach of contract, securities, internal investigations and other commercial litigation.

But even the best AI isn't going to see everything, so construction companies shouldn't completely rely on it. It's still important to have people on a job site who are responsible for ensuring workers are wearing the right gear, acting safely and doing work correctly.
