Taylor English Duma LLP added three new attorneys and expanded into another state, leaders announced today. Robert Sanders will serve as the firm’s first Wisconsin-based partner, practicing in Milwaukee. With this addition, Taylor English now has attorneys in 13 states. Bob Starr joins the Intellectual Property Department as a partner in Atlanta, Georgia and Chandra Winter joins the Corporate Department as an associate in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
“Taylor English is excited to continue to add the best attorneys around the country to serve our valued clients,” said Marc Taylor, chair of Taylor English. “These three attorneys are a perfect fit for our firm, as well as well-respected in their areas of practice.”
Taylor English’s newest members include:
- Robert Sanders, a partner with Taylor English’s Labor and Employment Department, prides himself on delivering practical, straightforward legal advice to clients with challenging issues. Sanders has been named to Super Lawyer’s Rising Star list every year since 2016, an honor accorded to only 2.5% of Wisconsin attorneys.
Sanders is a skilled trial attorney with a mediation/dispute resolution background whose first aim is to keep clients out of the courtroom. He routinely counsels employers on best practices to avoid risk when handling employee discipline and discharge, leave and accommodation, anti-discrimination, wage and hour, worker safety, and other issues.
Sanders graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as Law Clerk to the Vice President and General Counsel of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, L.P., before beginning his career at an AM Law 100 national law-firm.
- Bob Starr is a partner and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. He will be based in Atlanta. Starr has more than 20 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patents, managing trademark portfolios, drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, and supervising patent infringement claims. Starr began his career at a boutique law firm and has since served as counsel for corporations including AT&T/Bellsouth, Landis+Gyr, and ARRIS Group. He graduated from Emory University School of Law and has earned several other degrees including engineering degrees and an MBA.
- Chandra Winter, an associate with the Corporate Department, is based in Michigan. Her practice is primarily focused on emerging companies and entrepreneurial businesses in an array of technology, intellectual property, and corporate matters. Winter attended the University of California Los Angeles School of Law. Following law school, she practiced law in California representing entrepreneurial businesses. Winter served in the United States Coast Guard for five years before attending law school.
“This is an exciting time for Taylor English. With our recent announcement of our office in South Florida, as well as the additions of these three fine attorneys in three different states, we are affirming our commitment to providing clients around the country with superior legal service,” Taylor added.
