New Hard-Hit Small Business Relief Fund Act

Lawmakers introduce a scaled-down Covid-19 relief bill to aid small businesses. The legislation would transfer remaining funds from the SBA's Covid-19 relief programs to make grants eligible to small businesses still struggling due to unsustainable debt, ongoing supply chain delays and workforce challenges. With many restaurants having missed out on the RRF program and the sudden closure of the EIDL program leaving many business without additional funding, this would be a welcomed relief to business that have survived and are still struggling. With that said, it is unclear how much support there is for this scaled-down relief bill.

One of the lawmakers behind the Paycheck Protection Program and recent efforts to fully fund the Restaurant Revitalization Fund has introduced a new, scaled-down Covid-19 relief bill to aid small businesses.
