On October 23, 2018, Coby Nixon led a panel discussion at the 12th Annual Corporate IP Institute. Mr. Nixon led the discussion on, “What Are The Various Career Paths For The IP Attorney.” The panel consisted of in-house attorneys that began their careers in traditional IP roles, including as outside IP counsel, but decided to branch out and up within their respective companies. Discussion topics included practical tips and considerations for those thinking of making similar shifts in their careers.
