Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Nida Rizvi as a member of the firm’s Corporate practice group. Rizvi previously served as associate general counsel at Drax Biomass Inc.
“Nida is a terrific addition to our Corporate team as she brings a practical mindset that will allow her to devise and implement innovative solutions for our clients,” said Marc Taylor, a founding partner of Taylor English. “Her experience and background as an in-house attorney equips her with the skills needed to provide the firm’s clients with legal advice on a wide range of corporate matters.”
In her role at Taylor English, Rizvi will proactively address and evaluate business challenges related to a multitude of corporate issues involving corporate governance, securities law compliance and commercial transactions. She will also use her experience directing company policy on a wide range of additional corporate matters, including data security, cybersecurity, risk management, employment, construction, intellectual property and real estate.
Prior to Drax, Rizvi served as assistant general counsel and compliance officer at Oak Hill Advisors, L.P., where she provided legal and regulatory advice on the Investment Advisors Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933 and Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Outside of work, Rizvi is an active volunteer with The Citizens Foundation, a nonprofit organization and one of the largest privately-owned networks of low-cost formal schools in Pakistan.
