Taylor English Partner Amanda Groover Hyland Recognized in the 2020 World Trademark Review 1000

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that partner Amanda Groover Hyland was once again recognized as a leading trademark practitioner by the 2020 World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 - The World's Leading Trademark ProfessionalsIn addition to Hyland’s ranking, Taylor English’s trademark team was also recognized for the first time.

The WTR 1000, now in its tenth year, identifies the leading trademark practitioners and firms from around the globe and serves as the definitive tool for locating top-caliber trademark expertise worldwide. The WTR 1000 remains the only standalone publication to recommend individual practitioners and their firms exclusively in the trademark field and identifies the leading players in more than 80 key jurisdictions globally.

Taylor English was selected for inclusion based on the value it delivers clients, the number of successful summary judgements and litigation wins, as well as its strong team of IP professionals, who have excellent strategic instincts and understand how to utilize federal procedures to get the results that clients need.

Hyland, who the WTR 1000 described as a “tough, smart and respected” litigator with a “tireless work ethic and unshakeable focus on client service,” has been practicing at the firm for nearly 10 years. She focuses her practice on intellectual property, media, and First Amendment counseling and litigation for a variety of corporations and non-profit organizations. Hyland often handles complex lawsuits on the state and federal level, including trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret and false advertising disputes. Additionally, she has significant experience with transactional intellectual property matters, including United States and international trademark applications and prosecution, licenses and assignments, usage issues, copyright applications and due diligence. She maintains the trademark portfolios for several high-profile clients.

As reinforced in the report by one of Hyland’s clients, “Amanda quickly learns about your business and provides practical advice based on your specific fees and for a very reasonable fee.”

To research the market, the WTR conducted face-to-face and telephone interviews and exchanged correspondence over a four-month period with hundreds of lawyers, attorneys and their clients involved with trademarks. In addition, written submissions were gathered from firms detailing their recent activity in the field. Firms qualify for a listing based on their depth of expertise, market presence and the level of work on which they are typically instructed. Individuals qualify for inclusion in the WTR 1000 upon receiving positive feedback from market sources with knowledge of their practice and the market in which they operate.
