Taylor English Expands Corporate Practice with Counsel Gray McCalley, Jr.

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Gray McCalley, Jr. as counsel in the firm’s corporate practice. McCalley expands the firm’s outside general counsel services, joining nearly four dozen Taylor English attorneys who have experience as general counsels or senior in-house attorneys.  

McCalley has more than 35 years of experience, 30 of those as an in-house practitioner handling domestic and international operations of global companies, including The Coca-Cola Company and Printpack, Inc., a billion-dollar packaging company. McCalley has extensive experience creating business relevant solutions in domestic and foreign legal affairs and guiding mergers and acquisitions, complicated commercial transactions, labor and employment, compliance and dispute resolution.

In his role as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Printpack Inc., McCalley managed general corporate and commercial work, employment law issues, overseas investments and acquisitions, intellectual property matters and compliance.

Prior to joining Printpack, Inc., he spent 16 years with The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola Enterprises. During his tenure in the Coca-Cola System, McCalley had increasingly responsible roles in the legal function, including roles based in Northern Europe and the UK.

In addition to his legal career, McCalley served as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. State Department with postings to Belfast, London, Bonn and Washington.  He started his career as an associate in an international Am Law 100 firm.  

Outside of his practice, McCalley teaches an anti-discrimination course at Duke Law School and teaches Commercial German at Kennesaw State University. He is also a member of the American Council on Germany.

McCalley earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and law degree from Duke University Law School. Additionally, he was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Bonn in Germany.
