Taylor English Partner Amanda Hyland Recognized Among the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “40 Under Forty”

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that Amanda Hyland has been recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of Atlanta’s “40 Under Forty.” This award highlights young leaders who have made significant career achievements and demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility. Hyland was selected from more than 380 nominations for scaling the ranks, making a mark in the legal industry, and leading in her community.

Hyland was recognized for playing an instrumental role in growing Taylor English’s intellectual property practice group to more than 25 lawyers and for her dedication to clients. She has served as lead counsel in trademark infringement, unfair competition, copyright t infringement, and defamation cases in federal and state courts across the country. Additionally, Hyland has achieved wins involving cybersquatting, internet advertising, trademarks as key words, color as a trademark, trademark priority and trademark ownership issues.

Outside of her legal practice, Hyland is dedicated to improving the community in which she lives and works. She played a key role in advocating for parental leave and partnership eligibility polices at Taylor English, and the plans she helped develop were ultimately implemented. Hyland serves on the executive board of Kate's Club, which serves children who have lost an immediate family member. She also has a significant pro bono practice, dedicating hundreds of hours to pro bono work annually.

Hyland focuses her practice on intellectual property, media, and First Amendment counseling and litigation for a variety of corporations and non-profits. She has been recognized by numerous organizations, including Chambers, World Trademark Review, and Best Lawyers in America as a national leader in intellectual property.

Hyland earned her undergraduate degrees in journalism and political science, her master’s degree in journalism, and her law degree from the University of Florida.
