The Corporate Transparency Act: What to Expect and How to Prepare

Please join me on June 21 for a live webinar, The Corporate Transparency Act: What to Expect and How to Prepare.

I have teamed up with the National Business Institute to present this webinar on the 2020 Corporate Transparency Act and the many changes it will bring to U.S. businesses and the lawyers and accountants who work with them.

The 2020 Corporate Transparency Act has created a new federal reporting requirement of beneficial ownership for U.S. entities and foreign entities operating in the U.S. The new reporting rules come with severe penalties for non-reporting and inaccurate reporting. While the final regulations are still in progress, this new law creates a significant compliance burden for business clients.

In the seminar I plan to summarize the new law and will highlight:

  • Which entities must report and which will be exempt
  • Anticipated timing of the new regulations and when reporting companies will need to file their first reports
  • The information required in each beneficial ownership report
  • Key areas not covered by the statute that we hope will get clarified in FinCEN's upcoming regulations

Please follow the link above to register for this webinar.

In January 2021, the U.S. Congress passed the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) under the scope of the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020
